Country artist Morgan Wallen released his long-awaited album ‘One Thing At A Time,’ on March 3rd, leaving fans amazed with the final product. Since the album’s release, it has broken Spotify records, being the most streamed country album in a single day by a male artist.

We are going to take a look at some of our favorite tracks from the ‘One Thing At A Time’ album and elaborate on why each song is our favorite.

‘Everything I Love’

Being one of the first tracks on the album, “Everything I Love” is an instant serotonin boost. Being released weeks earlier than the rest of the track, this song excited listeners to what else was to come. The upbeat rhythm is addicting to listen to and does not disappoint. Although Wallen talks about his major regrets, fans are able to jam out to the rhythm of the song.

‘98’ Braves’

Wallen’s hit song “98 Braves” instantly catches fans’ attention as he takes a different angle to his music. Relating to sports, he compares falling short in a baseball game very similar to falling out of love. His lyrics display his passion for the Atlanta Braves through the thick and thin, along with the ups and downs of his relationships. The hit is the perfect song to listen to on a chill night and is a favorite amongst his fans, including us.

‘Man Made a Bar’

Wallen’s song “Man Made a Bar” featuring Eric Church, was a piece that instantly stood out from others. Entertaining not only Church’s fans but Wallen’s as well, it became a hit right away. Both artists elaborate on the story of God’s creation in a rhythmic piece. It is the perfect song to listen to at any time of day and can vibe at any moment.

‘Me to Me’

Me to Me” has the best upbeat tone which entertains fans and creates a fun song to listen to with a group of people. Wallen’s lyrics emphasize a conversation he had with a lady friend and how it resonated with him. His fans have seen this song as upbeat but also sentimental. Overall, I think this song is one of the most enjoyable songs on the entire album.

‘Outlook’

One of the later tracks, “Outlook,” reveals Wallen’s spiritual awakening through his lyrics. Throughout the song, he highlights how different his life is now that he changed his perspective. Wallen tones in the emotion from his struggles and elaborates on how he got back on track to success. His sentimental acoustics resonate with his listeners and establishes a song that’s perfect for sorrowful moments.

‘Dying Man’

Another sorrowful song on the album is, “Dying Man.” Being the closing track of the album, he really touches the hearts of his fans with his deep lyrics. Although writing to a woman, Wallen shares with his fans that this heartfelt song is dedicated to his son. Struggling through his rise to fame, Wallen expresses how his son was his main motive through the unfavorable moments. His lyrics show the importance of his family and the impact they all have on his life. This song leaves me teary-eyed after almost every listen, but it’s an amazing song to have on repeat throughout your day.

‘Single Than She Was’

Highlighting Wallens Guitar skills and storytelling, “Single Than She Was” became an immediate hit. It is the perfect song to listen to while cruising down country roads in the summertime.  Wallen’s lyrics follow the journey of a girl that shows interest in a guy she had an encounter with at a local bar. The smooth guitar chords and upbeat drums create a tune that listeners enjoy.

‘Ain’t That Some’

One of the most optimistic tracks, “Ain’t That Some,” focuses on Wallen’s roots in the South. The almost hardcore guitar combined with deep drums matches the overall tone of his message. Displaying his roots in country life, he conveys the idea of the tough and rough life in the country. Easily the best song on the entire album to listen to with your friends.

Although we only mentioned eight songs out of the 36-track album, each song goes to show how talented Wallen is as an artist and a musician. Compared to his last album, Dangerous: The Double Album, Wallen has demonstrated his change in perspective and his growth. His songs show his story and how he became a better person through the challenges he faced.
