Students and staff at OH continue to share interesting and uncommon cars, with a returning student from 42Fifty’s previous photo feature. In addition to showcasing cars, experiences can be as important as the car itself.

For example, OH senior Cody Crisp’s ‘05 Pontiac Grand Prix GT “has gone through hell and back and is still kicking.”

Sharing experiences with vehicles and their usefulness often brings can enthusiasts together. “The seven foot bed is useful for hauling things,” said OH junior Dean Mathis noted during one gathering.

Below are more head-turning cars in the OH community.

OH coach Gregory Scott’s 1924 Ford Model T. Passed down to him by his grandfather and one of eight in his family, the Model T remains in amazing condition after reaching just over a century of age since production. Credit: Gregory Scott, OH coach.

OH senior Cruz Castellanos’ 2014 Dodge Charger R/T AWD. Making over 400 horsepower in a 5.7 V8 ‘Hemi’ engine with installed upgrades and in a murdered-out style, a fast enjoyable ride is guaranteed. Castellano’s ride turns necks with style, even of non-enthusiasts. Credit: David Ballines, 42Fifty.

OH junior Kevin David’s 2014 Chevy Cruze 1.8L. Though the Cruze itself does not have as much appeal for looks in stock configuration, Kevin’s additions to fit a rally-style look along with the stock pearl blue body color create an eye-catching ride. “I like [[my car]] to represent me, how I envision this car to be,” said David. Ayden Gatenby’s 2000 sixth gen Honda Civic EX Coupe. As one of the biggest platforms for modification and customization, the Civic can easily become any person’s first and favorite car to own with power. “These cars are hard to find stock because they’re so easily [[modular]]. Pretty much everyone has built a Civic,” said Gatenby. Credit: David Ballines, 42Fifty.

OH junior Nick Messenger’s 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Though seemingly not impressive at first glance, Grand Cherokees are very capable in off road conditions and have decent customization shared by a number of Jeep models. “Anyone with a Jeep, I’ll be honest, [[The modularity is]] kind of copy and paste…I want to do an off-road [[build]],” said Messenger. OH junior Josh Spera’s 1999 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport. A classic well-known for being a fleet car for police departments, the Crown Vic is equipped with a strong engine. Tuned and upgraded to make 350 horsepower, Spera said he would “try to keep it as stock as much as possible” as it is passed down from his grandparents to him. Credit: David Ballines, 42Fifty.

OH senior Jacob Hinton’s ‘13 Scion FR-S. As a car model shared under the Toyota and Subaru companies, the FR-S brings in an appealing look with splendid handling and an eight-speaker sound system. For those seeking a fun sporty car without poor gas mileage, the FR-S (or Subaru’s BRZ) is a good place to start. Credit: Jacob Hinton, OH senior.
