The Oswego co-op gymnastics team competed against Fenton High School on Jan. 15, 2020. That night was no ordinary night; it was the gymnastics team’s Senior Night! There are four seniors on the team that were set to graduate, so they were honored in a short ceremony before the competition.

Kaitlyn Penzone, Cassidy Max, Ellina Butolph, and Alex Salinas stood in a line with their parents and held bouquets of flowers as they were honored. The crowd was told fun facts about them and which college they were going to attend.

After this, the competition began against Fenton High School. The Panthers emerged triumphant with a score of 139.1. This was the highest score that varsity has achieved all season. Freshman Olivia Valenti placed 1st on vault and junior Kailey Porrey placed 1st on bars. Senior Ellina Butolph placed first on beam and sophomore Kelsie Freundt placed first on floor. Senior Cassidy Max wowed the crowd by placing first in all-around.
