“Ready or Not 2 Here I Come” was a sequel to “Ready or Not” in 2019, which had a very interesting theme of comedy mixed with horror and action.
“Ready or Not” began with Grace marrying the man of her dreams at his family’s luxurious estate.
There’s just one catch: The family made a demonic pact requiring her to now hide from midnight until dawn while her new in-laws hunt her with guns, crossbows, and other weapons.
Overall, people somewhat enjoyed the first movie, enjoying the comedy and the action/horror aspects getting the first movie a 6.9/10 on IMDb. “I haven’t watched all of Ready or Not [[1]], but from what I watched, I did enjoy it a lot, just like the second one,” said Francisco Elizondo Jr.

“Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” follows Grace, who stands as the lone survivor of the harrowing and brutal “game,” a twisted contest that claimed the lives of her husband and in-laws.
The joy of survival is overshadowed by the sad realization that her victory comes with terrifying consequences: the wealthiest and most powerful families across the globe are now hunting her. They are challenged to eliminate her in a deadly new game, for failing to do so would mean losing their influence and fortunes.
At first, Grace refuses to participate in these twisted challenges, determined to evade the dark forces that now seek her life, but her resolve is shattered when she learns the heartbreaking truth: her younger sister Faith has also been targeted and marked for death.
Faced with this brutal revelation, Grace is left with no choice but to dive into the perilous depths of this deadly game, driven by an unyielding instinct to protect her sister at all costs.
Ready or Not, 2 here I come is rated about the same as “Ready or Not” on IMDb, with “Ready or Not 2″ receiving a 7/10. While many fans argue that the two films share similar plotlines, they diverge significantly in tone and style. “Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the second movie, but I was expecting maybe a little bit more comedy like the first movie,” said Elizondo Jr.
The series leans a lot more into graphic content and violence, incorporating a lot of gore that may not sit well with some people, which is a change from the original film, which expertly blends humor with horror, offering plenty of comedic moments.
This shift toward a darker narrative has led some viewers to feel that it lacks the charm and wit that characterized the first installment, which is especially noteworthy given the comedic horror genre in which “Ready or Not” was conceived.
Some viewers believe that the overall quality of the movie doesn’t measure up, but they wouldn’t go so far as to call it bad. “I did enjoy the movie, but there definitely could have been some changes to make it better,” Elizondo said.
However, a majority of people express a preference for the second installment over the first, praising it for its richer lore and more intense gore. Despite these improvements, many feel that it falls short in the humor department, which “Ready or Not” has.
“Watch this movie now if you like horror and comedy,” Francisco said.
