An unexpected fire alarm sounded on Friday, Sept. 14, toward the beginning of period 6B. Assistant Principal Mr. Bill Nunamaker confirmed that it was not a drill, but a false alarm.

Period 6 is a lunch period, and drills are not normally run during lunches. Schools are legally required to give students at least 20 minutes to eat. This number does not include time walking to and from lunch. Periods 6, 7 and 8 were rearranged by the administration to meet this requirement.

The administration could not comment on the cause of the alarm.
