I am a sophomore, and this is my first year on 42Fifty. I am the Features Co-Editor. My other extracurriculars include cross country, track and field and Democracy Team. I am a dedicated student and spend most of my time on school and running, and I have little time for anything else.
Ms. Jamie Bechina, an English teacher and girls track coach here at Oswego High School, has undoubtedly made a great impact on the Panther community from her work with English students to athletes.
Members of the National Art Honors Society recently worked on a mural just outside the Science Department in remembrance of Ms. Nicole Larsen following her passing.
The Revivalists were formed in 2007, and since then, unlike the other two bands I’ve covered, they have gotten notable mainstream recognition. After the release of their album “Men Amongst Mountains,” they were named as one of the “10 Bands You Need to Know” by Rolling Stone in March 2016.
Students at Oswego High School have decided to sacrifice their inflatable panther mascot in order to lift the curse that has plagued them for the past year.
The Village of Oswego has recently decided to rent out Oswego East High School to the state of Illinois as a prison in order to gain extra revenue for SD308.
