As we get through the month of February, we usually only think of one main holiday: Valentines Day. But there is one day that we remember for America, Presidents Day. Many schools across the country are closed on February 19 in honor of this holiday. All of SD308’s schools will be closed for this day.
Another day that we often take for granted is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Martin Luther King Jr. was an icon to many African Americans and the nation during the Civil Rights Movement. February is known for some of the most iconic holidays.
The Village of Oswego is not doing anything for Presidents Day, but the banks will be closed. President’s Day is one of the days we shouldn’t take for granted. We have a day off and take a look back and see how far we’ve come in our country.
