“To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen is being brought back in the spotlight after the release of “Primetime,” a psychological thriller based on the show and produced by A24.
This suspenseful and riveting film directed by Lance Oppenheim follows Hansen (Robert Pattinson) and his crew, who work together to capture and humiliate adult men talking to children online.
The events in the film are based on the Dateline show and the now-archived Esquire article “Tonight on Dateline This Man Will Die." Since the Internet becomes more advanced by the day, this film can reveal warning signs to viewers that they never noticed before.
Xbox and PlayStation come to most people's minds when talking about video games, so it's easy to forget about the classics that got us to where we are today. Classic 25-cent arcade games are my personal favorite, and I hope some others feel the same way, too. Without any further ado, allow me to take you back to the ‘70s and ‘80s and show you some of the best games from the time!
Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop artists OH students know in pop culture, and at the VMAs (the MTV Video Music Awards), she showed her pride in being a top artist for many by presenting a new music video, and taking home three awards, one being a New Inaugural Director Honors Award, which represented Swift’s artistry.
The VMAs took place on Sep. 27, at 6:30 PM CDT, and one of the many artists who was recognized and awarded for their art, was Swift.
Fans has to wait an additional 20 minutes for the show due to a Cowboys vs. Ravens game, which angered Swifties, her fan base, worldwide, as Swift was presenting her new music video for her song “Patient Zero” from “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” and being presented the first inaugural Artist Director Honors award.
On top of these two things, Swift also took home Video of The Year for her music video for “The Fate of Ophelia" and Best Direction for her music video for “Opalite.”
“She’s pretty prolific, she writes nonstop, you can just see by how much she continuously [[is]] developing and releasing new music,” said OH English teacher Erin Holtz regarding Swift’s achievements.
Books don't always make the best translation from print to screen, but “Tony,” directed by Matt Johnson and based on Anthony Bourdain’s memoir “Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly,” is *chef's kiss.*
The biopic follows 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain, Tony (played by Dominic Sessa), in the mid-1970’s as he gets his start in the food industry. Bourdain, who became well known for his skills as a chef and then as a travel show host, died in 2018.
He longs to be a writer, but when his fellowship doesn’t work out, he ends up working as a chef in The Flagship, a seaside restaurant in Provincetown, MA.
“I love Anthony Bourdain and the director Matt Johnson. I’m a huge fan of the stuff he’s been releasing recently,” OH senior Ben Altschul said. “Once I saw the cast, I kind of had a feeling I was going to like it a lot.”
On June 12, 2002, at 807 Oregon Street, an anonymous 4Chan user took a photo in the back room of a HobbyTown retail store in Oshkosh, WI. At the time, it seemed just to be a progress photo with no real substance.
What the photographer could not have known is that this picture would cause a chain reaction, with a film produced by A24 set to be released May 24, 2026 - and a few OH students are here for it.
