With 64.5% of the vote, Joe Biden won the mock presidential election put on by Oswego High School’s Democracy School. The voting window opened Monday Oct 26 and ended Thursday Oct 29. The voting was done through a Google form ballot.
The Oswego High School mock election comes in advance of the national election on Nov 3. The presidential candidates for the national election are Republican President Donald Trump (Vice President Mike Pence) and Democratic former Vice President Joe Biden (Vice President Kamala Harris).
Tensions have been very high between political parties in advance of this election. Despite this, the winners of the OHS mock election are entirely Democratic.

Dick Durbin (Democrat) – 62% of the vote
US House of Representative Illinois District 14:
Lauren Underwood (Democrat) – 66.7% of the vote
Illinois State Senate District 49:
Meg Loughran Cappel (Democrat) – 63.4% of the vote
Illinois House of Representatives District 97:
Harry Benton (Democrat) – 60% of the vote
Fair Tax Amendment:
Passes with 63.4% of the vote
