Yesterday at 11 a.m., police arrested the Oswego High School student responsible for writing the “kill list” in two boys’ bathrooms last month. The alleged perpetrator, a Montgomery 16-year-old boy, was charged with felony disorderly conduct.
The teen was later charged and released into their parents’ custody. A mandatory court date has been scheduled for Tuesday.
“We are thankful for the cooperation of our students, parents and staff in providing helpful information to the Oswego Police Department. Working together, we know our school is safer,” Principal Mike Wayne said in an email sent out to parents after the arrest.
Through their investigation, OHS and the Oswego Police Department were able to identify the culprit within a week of the initial report.
“It was determined there was no credible threat of danger to the students, staff or the public,” the Oswego Police Department stated in a press release. “[ Thank you to ] the school district and public for their cooperation during this investigation.”
