Photo Essay: Varsity softball wins against Plainfield East
With a season record of 19-11 (as of publication), the varsity softball team has had many outstanding games so far. For the underclassman team members, the memories are flying by, making it so hard to say goodbye to seniors who are graduating soon. "This is the last class that I started with as a freshman, and they have always been like sisters to me. I'm so proud of them and everything they have accomplished," said junior Aubriella Garza.

Promposals can be a soul-connecting experience for couples or friends, and the moment can stay with them forever. "I love promposals because they're cute and you get to see all the creative signs and gifts everyone gets," said OH junior Bryli Elizondo.
OH boys track athletes beat new records during the ‘24 season
The boy's track team has come a long way with lots of success. Here are the boys who have beaten new records: Owen Fitzgerald, Michael Kelly, Dontrell Young, and Matthew Whitfield- 4x400 with a new set mark of 1:33.06. Omar Perez, Jayden Patterson, Jack Wandolowski, and Dylan Johnson- 4x400 with a new set mark at 1:37.61. Jeremiah Cain- with a new high jump mark at 6'6". At the time of the new 4x400 record, Fitzgerald, Kelly, Young, and Whitfield finished with the #3 time in the state of Illinois, however, it has dropped to #9 currently.
IHSA approves girls flag football as a sport for fall of 2024
On Feb. 5, the IHSA board of directors approved girls' flag football as a sport for the fall of 2024. With seeing major involvement in girls' powder puff, a lot of participation is expected in this newfound sport.

For these specific seniors, they have chosen to continue their athletic careers into college. The determination and persistence of these seniors is easy to go unrecognized, but it is important to know all that goes into the commitment process.
