Linkin Park’s ‘Papercuts,’ a near soulless release
On Apr. 12th, 2024 Linkin Park released their latest collection album, Papercuts. The album is a compilation of 18 of the band’s biggest hits over the course of their career. Hit songs like Crawling, Numb, and Somewhere I Belong are all featured. Along with these are two unreleased songs Friendly Fire and QWERTY.
Dune, Part 2: A sequel sought and well-received
Dune: Part 2 was released worldwide on Feb. 25, 2024. The first film received loads of attention and was heavily praised. The sequel was anticipated and was overall received very well. The cast includes Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Lea Seydoux, Austin Butler, and many more. The entire cast did very well and it was satisfying to see how far some of these actors could go.
Worth the wait for Studio Ghibli’s latest release
This February, “The Boy and The Heron” won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature for the 2023 votes. On Dec. 8, 2023, Studio Ghibli released their latest movie, “The Boy and the Heron.” The studio is well-known for its award-winning animation quality, soundtrack, and heartwarming stories. Despite the simple title, the movie is actually very confusing, in a good way. Miyazaki stated that he wanted to tell his “life story” through this film, explaining why the film is so different from the rest.
Megamind 2 trailer: Mega failure
Megamind Vs. The Doom Syndicate comes out March 1, and it already looks like a mega failure based on the trailer. In the past month, Dreamworks quietly dropped the trailer for a sequel for Megamind (2010), titled Megamind Vs. The Doom Syndicate. While the original premiered in theaters, the sequel is being released straight to the streaming service Peacock, much to long-time fans’ disappointment.
Popular YouTuber Jidion returns
Popular YouTuber and in-real-life streamer Jidon Armani Adams, who goes by the username Jidion, released a Youtube video in September of last year stating that he would change his video format and was retiring from prank content.
