Charlie Recchia, Editor-in-Chief

This is my first year working with 42Fifty, and I hope to make it a great one. I have strongly enjoyed writing ever since I was in elementary school. Throughout my school years, I would get so excited to write whenever I had the chance. I am now a junior in high school, and I have found a great outlet for my writing with 42Fifty. I really enjoy watching movies and playing music in my free time. I play the drums in a rock band, as well as take part in Oswego High School’s drama productions. With interests like these, I have the knowledge to be a strong Entertainment Co-Editor. I hope I can bring a lot to 42Fifty’s table during my first year.

The virtual world comes to Oswego Public Library

The virtual reality activities are split up into two categories: games and experiences. The games range from a slingshot simulator, a bow and arrow simulator, and even a virtual reality version of the popular mobile game Fruit Ninja. The experiences include a deep sea adventure, and even a tour of a museum with famous art pieces.

Local Filmmaker Spotlight: Andrew Provost and Jeremy Davis

Out of the hallways of Oswego High School comes a pair of equally talented individuals. Juniors Jeremy Davis and Andrew Provost express their artistic talent through film.

Reacting to the 70th Emmy Awards

Throughout the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, there were no-brainers, un-deserved winners and surprises that kept the viewers on edge.

Oswego’s Kitchens: My Sister’s Lil Donut Shoppe

Housed in a former used car dealership, My Sister’s Lil Donut Shoppe is now a sensation in downtown Oswego.  This is due to its owner, Chris McClimans, and her dedication to opening a local shop to serve the people of Oswego with pastry goodness.
