From trucks to bright lights, even horses: OH promposal creativity

From dresses to tuxedos, to flowers to boutonnieres, prom is filled with exciting stuff all around: and today is the day.  In recent years, promposals and hoco proposals have become more and more popular. People go all out to make their date feel special. Most students, even though they know they're going with each other, still make a big deal out of asking their date to prom.

OH girls soccer is on a roll in the midst of their season, look ahead to playoffs

Undeniably, the OH girls' soccer team has had an unforgettable season so far. With a record of 15-1-3, first in conference, and sixth in the state, the team has persevered and found success this season - and aim to again tonight against Joliet West at an away match-up rescheduled due to rain. “This group is right up there with some of the best we’ve had," said OH Head Coach Gaspar Arias. "What separates them is their consistency and positive mindset. In the past, we’ve had talented teams, but this group combines talent with focus every day. They put in the work and energy, and that’s what makes them special.”

Fidgets are back: The new Needoh obsession

OH hallways and classrooms are filled with squishy ice creams, donuts, gumdrops, and plenty more. Needohs are making a bigger and better return since their first wave of popularity in the mid 2010s, bringing stress relief and a little fun back into students' daily lives.  Needohs, which are made in many different shapes and designs, are often collected for their unique shapes. OH junior Payton Forbes said, “My favorite Needoh is the ice cream [[one]] or the cool cat.”

Moving into the spring season, OH baseball is in full swing, and seniors, like Andrew Zwemke and Aiden Jaquez, are ready to take the field for one last season with OH baseball.  On the mound, pitchers Zwemke and Jaquez have played baseball all four years of high school. At the same time, both are competing to perform on the mound.
