A new season has just arrived for the thriller show Outer Banks, which has had three successful seasons. The season premiere is now on Netflix on Oct. 10. The TV series is set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and follows a conflict between two groups trying to find a long-lost treasure.
The show’s main protagonists are John B, Sarah Cameron, Kiara, JJ, and Pope. Their group is called Pogues, the reason why they call themselves Pogues is because they live on the south side of the Outer Banks embracing their community and having fun adventures but having financial struggles as well. Then there’s another group called Kooks on the north side with wealth, power, and privilege over the Pogues creating a divide between them.
“I love the new season of Outer Banks, it’s an exciting and fun show to watch. I recommend that people watch it,” said OH junior Arda Simsek.
Season four picks right back up with the Pogues pursuing their dreams of a new treasure hunt with Wes Genertte. The Pogues were able to get gold worth 1.1 million dollars. When they went back to the mainland, they opened their own shop. After a couple of days, they went back to normal life and spent the money, but soon enough, they realized they needed to start saving money for the shop and themselves.
Outer Banks was first released in 2020 right after COVID-19 had begun and started to become a popular show for teenagers and young adults and also OH students.
“I like the new season, the storyline is very engaging. Part 2 will be great to watch since all the characters are more developed and mature,” said OH junior Hassan Lawal.
The show has done an amazing job over the years, a lot of teenagers can relate to the characters since the characters started as high school students. The show does a really good job of portraying the characters and the plot.
“Outer Banks’ plot is a really good show because it keeps the watchers hooked on what’s going on in the show,” Lawal said. “Seasons 2 and 3 are my favorite because it’s when the show sparks and gets into all the deep and fun adventures for the characters.”
The teen drama has grown into a great mystery and thriller show. The development of the characters had an incredible impact on the show and how it explains everything happening. As the show progresses, it will keep getting better and will continue to have an amazing impact on young teens all over the world. Season 4 Part 2 will be released on Netflix on Nov.7.
