On Nov. 16, the Oswego Panthers varsity girl’s basketball team played its second game of the season at home against the Glenbard South Titans and lost with a score 54-29. The starting lineup consisted of seniors Anna Johnson, Cameron Tarver, Kendall Fulton, junior Emily Mengerink, and freshman Ahlivia East.
The Panthers played a tough and demanding game, with the crowd cheering until the final buzzer. They were able to get the offense going in the first half, specifically by East, Johnson, freshman Ashley Cook, and senior Emilee Franks. However, by the end of the first half, the Panthers were losing with a score of 27-15.

In the second half of the game, they were able to consistently shoot a range of threes, two by Cook, three steals by Fulton, East, and Johnson, and even put up some points at the free throw line. However, despite their consistency and determination, they were unable to pull out a win and ended up losing against the Titans with a final score of 54-29. Overall the Panthers were able to pick up 27 rebounds, and ended the game with 7 assists, 4 steals, and a 50% free throw scoring ratio.
The Panthers will be playing again soon at the Thanksgiving Tournament at Waubonsie Valley High School against the Waubonsie Valley Warriors on Nov. 19.
