To prevent the unwanted widespread of the virus, the District recently implemented SHIELD testing. The goal of these saliva-based covid-tests is to identify any asymptomatic students that may be infected with the virus as well as provide easy access to quick-result Covid testing for students and family members.
As students at Oswego High School adjust to being back in school, they are also adjusting to new guidelines in the cafeteria in order to lower the risk of transmission of COVID-19. However, staff members are struggling to enforce protocols in the lunchroom because of the limited space and large number of students. 
As spring break approaches, it’s time to consider how we will be returning to a different schedule once we return and whether or not we want to make adjustments because of that schedule.
Without a doubt, the last year has been a difficult one. When asked what words came to mind, students echoed the same sentiment: chaotic, overwhelming, thought-provoking. While going through so much undeniable change and loss, three students reflected on positive changes they have felt.
