Bad Bunny stirs deep cultural reflection with ‘DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS’

Bad Bunny’s new album “DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS” marked a significant moment in a deeply personal and cultural release on Jan. 5  highlighting his growth as an artist while also honoring his Puerto Rican roots. The album blends traditional reggaeton, pop, and folk sounds while having a mix of personal reflection and a message about preserving culture and identity.

In recent years, without fail, fan-favorite actor Timothée Chalamet stars in a long-awaited film. On Dec. 24, 2024, he starred in “A Complete Unknown,” a film depicting the rise of the ever-elusive music legend Bob Dylan.  Based on Elijah Wald's book, "Dylan Goes Electric!" Valentine's Day is easily the most dreaded holiday. From overly pink decor to loving couples littering the hallways, it is boring when single.  “Many of my students do not know what to do for Valentine’s Day,” said OH Fashions and Relationships teacher Susan Knowles.  Despite this lack of direction in holiday planning, there are a variety of ways a single student can spend Valentine’s Day. Many include hanging with friends or taking a day for themselves.

Saturday Night Live, more commonly known as SNL, is one of America's longest-running live comedy sketch shows. With 50 seasons, a star-studded alum list, and hosts ranging from Micheal Keaton to Ariana Grande, SNL is famous for its comedic and cringe moments.  SNL is filled with a variety of political sketches, faux-gameshows, a satirical news program (Weekend Update), and music videos. The show features a host, a musical guest, and often other celebrities as cameos on the show.  “I probably started watching [[SNL]] in the 70s, I saw the movie, which goes back to day one, and me and [[my]] wife watch pretty much every episode now,” said James Melton, OH mathematics teacher and avid SNL fan.

As the semester starts to close, midterm season is officially approaching. For OH midterms start on Tues., Dec. 17, and end on Thurs., Dec. 19, with an alternative class schedule.  “I’m a little stressed and anxious,” said OH senior Lily Yelensky regarding her readiness for midterms.
