I am a senior and a staff reporter for 42Fifty. This is my first and only year on 42Fifty and I really like to review things.

Lethal Company tops charts as a new entertaining horror

“Lethal Company” is a co-op horror game made by Zeekerrs and was released on Oct. 23, 2023. The game grew in popularity in November and was the top seller globally on Steam.  “Lethal Company” has a vague story and very little lore. Workers are working for “The Company” and are sent to different abandoned moons to collect scrap which they then sell to a creature inside the company building. There are various monsters and enemies roaming around the facilities. The team has to meet a quota so the crew can avoid being shot into space.

On Oct. 30, 2023, Oswego High School experienced unexpected flooding from broken pipes. Temporarily, 15 classrooms and 13 offices were relocated to other areas of the building to conduct classes and professional work, according to an email from Principal Chris Grays.  On the day of the burst pipes, custodial staff acted immediately and spent the day cleaning up the water and repairing what was damaged. Fans were put up in the school and damaged ceiling tiles were removed.

Amnesia: The Bunker Review – An unforgettable horror

“Amnesia: The Bunker” is a horror game released by Frictional Games on June 6, 2023. The game is set in the “Amnesia” series that started with “Amnesia: The Dark Descent”. Newer “Amnesia” games were not doing well, until “The Bunker” came out and turned the tables around for standards on “Amnesia” games. We expected this game to be as boring as the previous two releases, but our expectations were exceeded by a pretty large margin.
