Hi! My name is Liliana Murillo, and I am a senior at OHS.This is my first year being a part of 42Fifty staff. In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends, watch reality T.V, and go shopping. If I am not at school, you will see me working at Riverside Pizza and Pub in Oswego. I am beyond excited to be a Sports Editor for 42Fifty this year!

New P.E. elective aims to address referee shortage

Over the past two years, Oswego High School and other high school sports around the country have experienced referee shortages. In hopes of solving the problem,  OHS will offer a new officiating course for the 2023-2024 school year.

‘Trust your training’: Audra Soderlind races to the top

For Oswego High School senior Audra Soderlind, cross country and track is not just about running, but about the positive team atmosphere as well as the individual control that comes with it. Soderlind has accomplished so much during her four years at OHS, making her one of the school's most accomplished athletes in school history.

OHS varsity girls basketball falls to Glenbard South Titans in second game of season

Shot taken in the OHS Athletic Gym, focused on the Basket Ball Hoop (located closest to the Athletic Hallway). Under the hoop stands both OHS and Glenbard South players as they fight over the ball in midair. Anna Johnson (#20) is poised to shoot, but is blocked by a defending player.

On Nov. 16, the Oswego Panthers varsity girl's basketball team played its second game of the season at home against the Glenbard South Titans and lost with a score 54-29. The starting lineup consisted of seniors Anna Johnson, Cameron Tarver, Kendall Fulton, junior Emily Mengerink, and freshman Ahlivia East.

A sign of greatness to come: 12 OHS athletes drafted to collegiate sports programs

Honored OHS athletes and their families sit in attendance listening to recognition and congratulations speeches from their coaches during the November Nineth, 2022, Oswego High School (Athletic) Signing Day.

On Nov. 9, Oswego High School's first signing day of the school year took place for athletes who have committed to schools to pursue their athletic careers for each of their sports. In total, 12 students signed to colleges, all from various sports.
