Opinion: weather is to blame for the winter blues

The winter months are hard for everyone, especially students. Most of the school year is spent between the months of December and March, both the coldest and dreary of times, making it difficult for students to enjoy their surroundings.

Halloween is a holiday that simply is not for everyone. A large part of Halloween is the fear-based environment surrounding festivities, such as going to haunted houses or watching horror films with friends, but some people do not have the same excited attitude about these activities, especially surrounding watching scary movies.

Oswego High School has taken great strides throughout the years in order to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and appreciated.   This year, Panther Pride is evident on the wrists of both students and staff with bright orange and blue bracelets.

Oswego High School will once again host its annual Homecoming dance on Sept. 30. All students must check in no later than 8:00 p.m. with the new theme “Las Vegas.” This year’s Homecoming dance will be at Oswego High School’s auxiliary gym. The field house will also be open to students for coat check, games, the photo booth, and tables to sit down and relax at.
