Travel opportunities for students are more frequent than you may think
Traveling the world is often told in stories entailing adventure and the pursuit of a greater understanding of the world we live in. Some people view it as an experience out of grasp or too unreasonable to actually fulfill, however there are many opportunities for high school students to travel internationally.
OH Cheer coaches receive prestigious award
The Oswego High School Cheer program has developed greatly in recent years. With the competition team placing 6th in state last year, there seems to be nothing OH Cheer can’t do. Following this achievement at state, coaches Margaret Hill and Emily Gaw were each named “head coach of the year” for the 2022-2023 season.
Latin American Student Organization has a change in leadership
This year, the Latin American Student Organization (LASO) has new teacher sponsors that are bringing an advancement to the club. The new sponsors, Jessica Yandun and Gianna Purdom, desire to emphasize the importance of “leadership and Latinx representation” at OH as well as in the community. LASO meets twice a month on Thursdays at 2:30 pm, and meetings are around 45 minutes to an hour. The club has a friendly environment, and with its members all wanting to make a positive impact on OH and the community.
Oswego Boys Golf Is In Full Swing
Let's go golfing with the Oswego Panther Golf team! Though the team has had its ups and downs, they now seem to be finding their groove.
