Mrs. Carlson and her road to Oswego High School
It may seem that, as high schoolers, all teachers are some evil entity that is out to patronize students. In retrospect, this could be further from the truth and is just an ignorant stereotype. Mrs. Carlson, from the accounts I have collected, shatters this stereotype into a million little pieces and sets those pieces afire in a blaze of glory.

TOOL is one of the most popular, influencing, and groundbreaking bands of all time. Through combining unique lyrical content, progressive metal, and a very recognizable sound, they have become a landmark band in rock and roll history. With their long-awaited fifth album, "Fear Inoculum," TOOL still seems to be creating these innovative metal masterpieces to this day. For a 30-year-old band, this is incredibly impressive.
Guitar players at OHS: from shredding to texture
Guitar players, from the shredders to the texture freaks, are an integral part of any musical project. Ranging from uses in pop, rock, punk, and even alternative music, the guitar is one of the most necessary instruments in the music world. In fact, through simple conversations and word of mouth, one can find out that Oswego High School is full of some of these guitar players.
‘El Camino’ is as great as it is inconsistent
On the bright side, "El Camino" holds some incredible acting performances, some even being the best I have seen all year. Aaron Paul and his reprisal of Jesse Pinkman is nothing short of incredible. Paul is able to dive into this character so deep that I cannot see a single glimpse of Paul's real-life personality or character. All I can see is Pinkman and Pinkman only.
‘The Venue’: Another excellent outlet of live music in Illinois
Oswego is not the most fabulous place for accessible live music for the masses. Especially since the closure of Firehouse Pizza downtown, and with it, its very quaint-but-fun open mic night. However, the live music lovers of Oswego shall not fear, as only 15 minutes away, Aurora has a venue—no, THE Venue—that has its doors open and its music...
