Opinion: OH students planning for spring break

As students approach the final months of the school year, many students at OH are gearing up for a mixture of adventures, relaxation, and lots of fun for spring break. “The weeks going into spring break are purely exciting," said senior Dylan King. "You know you are getting the break that you need and right when you come back the weather starts to get better and you know that the end of the year is soon.” Many OH students have things to look forward to going into the break. I think this vacation is the final push for students who need to decompress from schoolwork.

With podcast hosts Bryli Elizondo, Madi Gilio, and Katelyn Clemons, a few boys basketball players share their insights on the season, especially with new head coach Nick Orham. OH varsity basketball players and juniors Luke Roller and Mariano Velasco are interviewed in segment one (0:08), and podcast hosts continue the conversation with freshman Ethan Vahl and sophomore Graham Schwab in segment two (5:18).

Turning into the season: Competitive Dance

As the halftime season comes to an end, OH dancers are preparing for the next few months as they leap into the competitive dance season. With months of hard work and training behind them, these girls are ready to display their talent this season.  “We have so many different skills that take it from a spirit level based squad to a competitive team,” said OH Dance Team Head Coach Hannah Hill.

Opinion: Fall season offers great date ideas

OH students and their significant others are going on festive dates during the upcoming fall months. Fall is the perfect time to do seasonal activities like pumpkin carving, especially when you share it with your significant other. The crisp air and vibes make it an unforgettable experience. “My boyfriend [[and I]] are planning on going to a pumpkin patch and getting pumpkins to carve in my garage,” said OH senior Evi Owens. Similarly, OH senior Alyssa Torres is headed to a different pumpkin patch in the area. Torres said, “[My boyfriend and I] already went to a pumpkin patch called Sunny Acre Farms in Chicago.”
