OH students and their significant others are going on festive dates during the upcoming fall months. Fall is the perfect time to do seasonal activities like pumpkin carving, especially when you share it with your significant other. The crisp air and vibes make it an unforgettable experience.
“My boyfriend [and I] are planning on going to a pumpkin patch and getting pumpkins to carve in my garage,” said OH senior Evi Owens. Similarly, OH senior Alyssa Torres is headed to a different pumpkin patch in the area. Torres said, “ already went to a pumpkin patch called Sunny Acre Farms in Chicago.”
Having that special time with your significant other is very important. The fall months are perfect for pumpkin patches, apple picking, and watching scary movies at home.
“We enjoy watching movies, so we did that while we carved pumpkins,” said OH senior Emmerson Kelsey.
In the fall, there are also many fall-themed movies that students can watch with their significant other. In the other months, watching scary and fall festive movies is exciting, but during this season it makes the dates so much better. “If we were at home, we would watch a scary movie and bake fall treats,” said Owens, “[We] have been wanting to make apple cinnamon blondies and pumpkin rolls.”
Although going out for dates during the fall is just another thing that adds to the spirit of the season, staying in is another good option. There are so many things you can do with your significant other from home. “Sometimes I plan them, sometimes he does, or he surprises me with little date ideas,” Kelsey said.
When students are dating, planning dates is important. Having a person to help and plan gives more joy going into the season of fall. “I’d take fall pictures probably at a pumpkin patch with some cute trees in the background,” said OH senior Rhiana Martinez.
Many OH couples find themselves taking pictures with their dates and significant others to post on social media. Pictures contribute to the spirit of the fall season. With red, yellow, and orange colors on the trees, it makes many great places to take pictures. “I like to dress up, so I have my boyfriend dress up too, and we take pictures to keep for the memories,” Kelsey said.
With the fall time comes new memories with your significant other. Keeping those good moments in photos is something you can keep with you forever after these dates. “It helps you reconnect with your partner and shows your willingness to put in the time and effort into the relationship,” said Kelsey.
Fall dates with significant others help keep the relationship healthy and happy. As couples continue to go on dates this season, it provides them with memories for years to come.
