Panthers squeak by Warriors in a low-scoring affair
Girls Basketball: It was a game to forget for all involved. A game full of missed layups and turnovers, Oswego (14-7, 7-2) prevailed, winning over Waubonsie Valley 38-31. The Panthers only had one player reach double figures, but the real story came from the bench, where they got a big boost from senior Taylor Tarver and junior McKenna Engler.

The game had the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. Nobody rode that rollercoaster more than Oswego senior Jennah Rogers who scored 16 points and snagged 17 rebounds. She had an opportunity to win the game in regulation but was unable to convert, but eventually played hero and sent the game to double overtime with a putback buzzer beater.
Adams stays red hot, leads Panthers to 5-0
Oswego’s varsity basketball (5-0, 1-0) has started red hot, jumping out to an unexpected 5-0 start including their first conference win on Wednesday against Plainfield North (2-2, 0-1). The opening push has been propelled by senior Kobe Adams, who is averaging 24 points per game in the first five games, including 25 in the 51-46 win over the Tigers.
Panthers advance to second round behind balanced attack
(5) Oswego (9-1) punched their ticket to the second round of IHSA 8A football playoffs with a 42-8 victory over (28) Elgin (5-5) on Friday night. The Panthers utilized a balanced offensive attack and a dominating defense to stifle the Maroons, and cruise to victory.
