The 42Fifty staff is lead by student editors selected by their staff peers through an application and interview process. The organizational structure of the staff includes two Co-Editor-in-Chiefs, two Managing Editors, Section Editors, and specialty editors for key areas of the publication: Podcast, Socials, Art & Graphics, and Photography. The publication has one faculty adviser.
