Finishing their season strong, the OH girls’ volleyball team won Regionals for the third time in a row. The 2025 team was a strong and supportive group that worked together through it all.

OH right side senior Renee Egger said, “We just stayed as a team the whole time. We always stayed as a family,” expressing how they became Regional champions three times.

Regionals was an end goal for the team. Many moments during the season made this a season to remember.

The girls team achieved two Regional wins, defeating Neuqua Valley 2-0 and Plainfield East 2-0, which earned them the title of Regional Champions.

To prepare, this team watched film, practiced early mornings, blasted music to get hype, did drills, and more. The most important thing for this team is chemistry and hard work.

OH Special Education teacher and Girls’ Volleyball Head Coach Gary Mosley said, “Good souls within those ladies that made it easy.”

Coach Mosley, Doy, and Darling provide their strong volleyball knowledge and leadership skills to lead these girls to victory.

The 2024 girls’ volleyball team was filled with many experienced players who have now moved on to play Division 1 in college. Following that season, the 2025 team had something to show.

Junior libero Amelia Mosley said, “We knew we had something to prove after last season, because everyone thought we were gonna be nobody after all those seniors left last year, but we wanted to prove everyone wrong.”

One of the most memorable moments for teammate Eggers during the Regional game was when Herrick executed a powerful play, resulting in excitement from the team and crowd. The energy during these games fueled the team’s performance even more.

Energy during these games keeps the girls hyped while they are playing. Hard work and focusing during the games are what led them to this impressive championship. Eggers said, “It was great.”

The girls’ volleyball team hopes to keep this streak alive in the following years. They aspire to make it to the Sectional finals.
