OH’s football themes are a huge part of the school’s fall spirit and help to create an atmosphere like no other. Dressing up for football games with Orange Crew football game themes shows students’ passion for having fun and cheering on the OHS Panthers.

Senior Orange Crew member Greyson Covay, who helped create this year’s football themes, said, “The Orange Crew members met up and decided which themes would work best depending on the week, month, and the [football game] opponent,” Covay said.

Covay also shared that Orange Crew brought back some past themes to add with new ones. One theme Covay pointed to as his personal favorite was “Blue Out” in memory of OH student Sean Fader who passed away on Sept. 13, 2025.

Orange Crew encourages students to participate through social media. “We post on Instagram [to] get people hyped at the football games,” Covey said, “We’ll be posting on TikTok, too.”

Orange Crew’s main goal in creating the themes this year was to encourage students to have fun, dress up, and come out to support their team as well as get into the school spirit.

OH Dean’s Assistant Mark Stewart appreciates the school spirit represented by the dress-up themes Orange Crew develops. “I love that you guys get to do this, home and away. My favorite one is the beach day. Everyone’s always so creative with how they dress up for it.”

Stewart highlights students’ creativity in bringing themes to life, adding that students can go all-out to dress up in crazy outfits. Stewart thought that students might like the theme of “neon because it’s the first week, and I think it’s the most creative one students dress up for during the year.”

Like Stewart, senior football team member Steven Barnes also likes the neon theme. “[Neon] is generally the coolest atmosphere to play in front of“ he said. “I like all the themes…The students in the stands represent [the themes] well.”

With new themes and OH spirit continuing, this year’s Friday nights are bound to bring OH and the community closer together in a demonstration of school spirit.
