OH students will bring magic to life on May 3 at Naperville’s Matrix Club for their 2025 Prom, which will have the theme “Once Upon a Time.” Knowing the guidelines is important so students can have the best time possible.

Tickets will be available to purchase starting April 1 at 7:00 a.m. and will close on April 11 at 2:30 pm. The tickets can be purchased through the 5Students website.

“Tickets will not be refunded for any reason,” stated the email regarding prom information sent to OH students and guardians.

In addition to payment information, the email shared information regarding guest passes. Guest passes will be up for grabs starting on March 10. No freshmen/sophomores will be allowed into the venue without a guest pass. All guest passes will be due no later than 2:30 pm on April 9.

Unfortunately, the fairy tale magic has its limits, so entry will not be free: tickets are $85 per person. There will also be no magical spell to grant disciplinary immunity.

“Any student in violation of school expectations may receive appropriate disciplinary action determined by our administration, including being dismissed from the event,” stated the email.

It is crucial to remember that prom is still a school event, meaning that poor behavior is not tolerated. Participants are to enjoy themselves, but not so much that they are excluded from the magic.

Several students have expressed excitement regarding the new theme this year, sparking greater thematic ideas for students.

“I think it’s unique. I think it could be useful as inspiration for students,” said OH senior Bella Johnson.

The stylistic ideas are endless when it comes to the fairy tale genre. Students could take inspiration from different stories as well as aesthetics. Ideas can range from subtle floral patterns to magical and royal suits or dresses.

With the date quickly approaching, it is essential to plan. Get your outfit, get your friends together, and purchase your tickets before the clock strikes 2:30 p.m. on April 11.
