The Senior Celebration at OH is a special way for seniors to gather one last time before they graduate. The event will be at OH from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., and students should enter the building through door 35. Tickets were $30 per person, and sales ended May 4 at 11:59 p.m. There are no refunds for students who cannot attend.
“Senior celebration is a celebration of every single achievement accomplished throughout high school leading up to the end of the school year,” said 2023 graduate Natalia Godinez.
The costs include unlimited drinks, food, games, and raffle prizes worth more than $100. Every senior in attendance is guaranteed to win a prize, including TVs, Apple products, college dorm necessities, and more.
“[We were able to get the prizes t]hrough the funds we raise; we keep a lookout for good deals on prizes and purchase them throughout the year,” said one of the Co-Chairs and OH parent Todd Mielcarz. “We also create an Amazon wishlist so that others can purchase gifts for the seniors that become part of the gift giveaway as well.”

While attendees may win several prizes, they can also enjoy moments with their friends before they graduate.
“It’s an event for the seniors that applauds their hard work, outstanding effort, and determination to finish off the school year strong,” said Godinez.
This event is also a lock-in, meaning no one can leave the event early. Attendees’ car keys will be tagged and held at registration, but they can have their phones. When the event is over, items will be returned.
According to Mielcarz, two volleyball courts will be set up in the aux gym, basketball hoops will be in the main gym, and the fieldhouse will feature several inflatable games (such as an obstacle course), bags, spike balls, and giant Jenga. There will also be a DJ and a photo booth. Mielcarz.
“I highly recommend that every senior [attends]. It’s a very fun event that celebrates your time at OHS, and you get a chance to win amazing prizes and make memories with the rest of your classmates,” said Godinez.
