Stephanie Padilla, an OH senior and entrepreneur, has been specializing in making unique and bright flower bouquets since June 2023.

¨I chose to make bouquets because I’ve always loved flowers and I love making people happy. I feel like flowers have a big impact on people,¨ said Padilla.

She was encouraged to make flower bouquets by some videos that she watched online and was inspired to do the same.

Students outside of OH are finding her Instagram platform and ordering bouquets from her. Priscy Olivas, a sophomore from Oswego East High School, ordered work from Padilla.

¨Her work is amazing, and you can tell with her work she takes her time and makes sure all of her clients want it. She is also very open minded and always asks questions and has suggestions when someone is ordering a bouquet,¨ said Olivas.

Padilla makes bouquets for different special occasions like Valentine’s Day, birthdays, anniversaries, and much more. She also creates different styles of bouquets depending on what the other person is asking for. Her prices depend on the type of flowers, amount of flowers and the additions that the other person wants.

According to Olivas, ¨[Padilla] distributes her work and is always posting about it and she is very good at communication when it comes to her clients. She is also always open to new ideas and isn’t limited.¨

She usually has inspiration pictures that people give her and uses them. She pays attention to the colors of the flowers to see where they would fit better and to see how well they go together.

According to Kidpreneurs, owning a business at a young age helps teens develop important skills, and it offers financial, educational, and social benefits for them to become successful as adults. It can also be an amazing and rewarding experience to start a business at a young age. They usually start the business with something that they love doing and are passionate about.

¨It can be difficult running the business, just because of my other job and school [but] it all comes down to time management, communication [and] helps with responsibility,” said Padilla.
