The Oswego Panthers played the Plainfield Central Wildcats last Friday in their first game of the season. The game ended 35-0 victory for the Panthers. Scroll down to see photo highlights from the game!


The OHS varsity dance team performs at the halftime show, putting a smile on the crowd’s faces with their leaps, turns and poses.


The OHS marching band announced their theme, “play,” as it marched onto the field playing childhood songs such as “Pop Goes the Weasel” and “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”. The color guard then surprised the crowd with brightly colored kites in place of its flags during the last number.


OHS junior Aiden Avalos (29) kicks off for the Panthers. This was Avalos’ second kick of the game.


Center lineman Luke Hunter (69) prepares to hike the ball to senior quarterback Noah Parker (6), putting the ball into play. Noah went on to make five complete passes, one of which was a touchdown.


Not all the work happens on the field. Behind the scenes, OHS athletic trainers hand the boys water bottles as they cheer on their fellow teammates.
