Back on top: OHS Auto Team ends 7-year drought with big win
For the first time in seven years, OH’s auto team won Waubonsee’s Automotive Technology program’s Automotive Skills competition on Feb. 21. OH students have grown a huge liking in the trades through our CTE classes, and this year, students of these auto classes showed their love through hard work, determination, and focus. “For the first time since 2019, the traveling trophy returns to the OHS Auto Shop to showcase all of the hard work and dedication of our students,” said OHS Auto’s teacher Don Vath.
One Last Time: J.Cole releases his final and highly anticipated album ‘The Fall Off’
Being famous comes with its ups and downs, and while may popularity brings success, it can just as easily be forgotten and lost. This is known as “falling off,” and rapper J. Cole discusses this feeling and how it impacts him on his new album “The Fall-Off.” "The Fall-Off" provides J.Cole fans with another album full of amazing flows, such as songs "Bunce Road Blues" and "The Villest," yet with an amazing use of storytelling about his past and how it affects him. After only two years of the release of his last album “Might Delete Later,” J.Cole is feeding his fans with more and more platinum hits one last time. “'The Fall Off' is one of the greatest pieces of literature ever written,” simply said OH senior Sebastion Simkins.

‘Son Of Spergy’: A new era for Caesar and fans
“Pilgrims Paradise,” “Freudian,” “CASE STUDY 01,” “NEVER ENOUGH,” and now “Son of Spergy:” Daniel Ceaser released a new album after two years, leaving fans in shock with its beautiful sound and chords. The album, released this fall, was highly anticipated throughout the announcement. “I was super pumped that he was actually releasing again,” said OH junior Jordyn Becker. “It’s been quite a minute since he’s released.” Though Ceaser had shown no indication of releasing an album after his 2023 hit “NEVER ENOUGH,” he was still active in the music community, helping produce the late 2024 hit “CHROMAKOPIA” by Tyler The Creator and frequent interviews with the artist.
Marvel Zombies receives mixed reviews as first TV-MA animated special
A new Marvel TV special has received mixed feedback as a sequel to "What If..." season 1, episode 4, in a zombies story line which takes a unique approach within the Marvel universe. As a standalone story, it takes its first steps as Marvel’s first TV-MA animated show with four episodes. The show takes place five years after the events of "What If" season 1, episode 4. The premises of "What If..." was new takes on stories using a “What If...” scenario. In episode 4, the story was “What If… Zombies?!” “I liked how they weren’t afraid to [[eliminate]] main characters," said OH senior Matthew Sobecki. "It was unpredictable because of that.”
