OH students place third at Prostart competition
Five OH culinary students, led by culinary teacher Thomas Dwyer, showed off their talents at the Prostart competition on March 2, 2024, and won third place at the event. “[[The]] competition helps high school students get their foot in the door when it comes to scholarships to culinary schools,” explained OH senior Phoenix Goldstein. “One section has teams cooking an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert; the other is teams pitching a restaurant concept in the fictional city of ProStartville to show their knowledge of what it takes to get a restaurant running.”

OH music will whisk you away: Annual Bandcakes performance fundraiser
On Sunday, Feb. 18, 2023, the OH band program will host its tenth annual Bandcake performance from 8–11 a.m. in the OH cafeteria. “I’m somewhat excited for this performance. This is my first year participating. I’m in a pep band this year and doing a song with three other people,” said junior Nate Giffin.

After working hard for a long time or a monotonous routine, everyone wants a break to clear their minds. To some students, winter break is an exciting time to go on a vacation, relax, and not worry about school and drama. No one is alone in their anxiety, and everyone can feel stressed sometimes.
