Panthers play in Hoops for Healing in a healed main gym

From Nov. 24 to the 28, OH hosted the annual Hoops for Healing tournament to help raise funds for Camp Hope through Edwards Cancer Center. This was the first main event on the refurbished OH main gym floor since the early Nov. opening. The game inaugurated the gleaming OH main gym floor, which was reopened after being closed for repairs after flooding in late August. “I thought [[the repairs were]] going to be a lot longer," said Varsity Boys' Basketball Head Coach and Kinetic Wellness teacher Nick Oraham. "I think they fixed it in a pretty quick, efficient manner, and I think it looks really good.”

This fall, HBO and Prime unleashed the next wave of Stephen King-inspired entertainment, and it comes with everything fans would expect from this Godfather of Horror. The long-awaited "Welcome to Derry: The Awakening" series is a prequel expanding King’s IT universe, and King fans are already stirred up. The new season promises a deeper dive into the town’s cursed past and the early manifestations of central character Pennywise before the events of the original series.

Juniors take home the win at annual Powder Puff game

OH's annual Powder Puff game brought the energy to the field Fri. night, Oct. 1 as the juniors faced off against the seniors in a heated flag football match-up. With loud cheers echoing from the student section and both juniors and seniors sections showing pride, the game ended with the juniors pulling off a hard-fought 6–0 victory over the seniors. The game started off tight, with both teams battling to find momentum. The first half remained scoreless as defenses on both sides refused to give in. It wasn’t until late in the second half that the juniors broke through with a short touchdown pass that sealed the win.
