[TRAD.] Explorando nueva potencial y musica exelente en el festival de Big Cat Choral

El 6 de noviembre, la emoción invadió la sala cuando los estudiantes de OH presentaron el programa coral a los futuros alumnos de primer año durante el festival anual Big Cat Choral en el Centro de Artes Escénicas OH Barnes. “Este año hemos tenido la mayor participación de todas”, dijo Morgan Pawlisz, estudiante de último año de OH. “Todos estaban muy entusiasmados y con muchas ganas de cantar juntos”. El festival coral reúne a estudiantes de octavo grado de las escuelas secundarias Traughber y Thompson para realizar actuaciones y participar en actividades divertidas con los estudiantes de OH. “Estuvo bien”, dijo Josselyn Russell, estudiante de segundo año de OH. “Fue agradable escuchar a los estudiantes de secundaria y todo lo demás”.

Juniors take home the win at annual Powder Puff game

OH's annual Powder Puff game brought the energy to the field Fri. night, Oct. 1 as the juniors faced off against the seniors in a heated flag football match-up. With loud cheers echoing from the student section and both juniors and seniors sections showing pride, the game ended with the juniors pulling off a hard-fought 6–0 victory over the seniors. The game started off tight, with both teams battling to find momentum. The first half remained scoreless as defenses on both sides refused to give in. It wasn’t until late in the second half that the juniors broke through with a short touchdown pass that sealed the win.

OH junior Hannah Herrick has made a name for herself both on and off the volleyball court. After committing to the University of Dayton, she admitted to being eager to start her post-high school athletic career. “I’m excited to join the Dayton program for meeting new people, getting college-level training, and being able to play against some really good competition,” said Herrick. Recently committing to continue her volleyball career at the University of Dayton. Herrick, who first picked up the sport at age 11, credits her passion for competition and the support of her teammates for fueling her growth as a player. For her, it's the competition.
