La Comisión de Planificación y Zonificación de Oswego ha rechazado el propuesto por desarrollo para ser construido en la antigua localidad de Traughber Junior High School, una necesidad en el área de Oswego. ¨Puedo entender el distrito deseo de disponer de la propiedad, porque es algo que ya no están usando… y creo que pueden hacer buenas propuestas,¨ dijo Charlie Pajor, presidente de la Comisión de Planificación y Zonificación de Oswego. La propuesta vio el edificio situado en 61 Franklin Street, el cual a veces es usado como un "food pantry", por ser destruido y reemplazado con dos edificios de cinco plantas que contienen 128 unidades residenciales y cuatro edificios de tres plantas que contienen 88 unidades. ¨Fue muy intenso por el sitio, especialmente el numero de miembros que tenien preocupaciones reales de la estatura de los edificios que fueron incluidos,¨ dice Pajor.

"Si alguna vez has escuchado música de Navidad en el radio, empieza en los principios de noviembre, a veces hasta justo después de Halloween," dice Caitlyn Workan, la maestra de francés en OH.
Panther pride prevails even through change in pep assembly schedule
This year, due to the surprisingly high early October temperatures, the annual OH pep assembly was moved from the afternoon to the morning. “It was a little last-minute... but it ended up being a positive change,” said Student Council sponsor and social studies teacher Anne Sweeney, who is in charge of planning the pep assembly.
’25-26 Homecoming court announced: The tradition continues
The announcement of Homecoming Court nominees through the OH speakers during the 2nd period on Friday marked the official start of Homecoming Week. Students got excited when they heard familiar names through the speakers, and the nominees proudly make their way to the OH main office. Every year, there are 10 members of the court, all of whom are seniors. This year, the Homecoming King nomination winners are: Kobe Jones, Chase Berkenson, Kam Jenkins, Anthony Mullen, and Michael Holmstrom. Homecoming Queen nomination winners are: Mia Medina, Ashley Cook, Gia Smith, Ali Bauman, and Morgan Pawlisz. These nominees are chosen by who received the most votes via an online form. “I posted on my Snapchat story, like, mostly every day, just telling people to vote,” said Cook.
Senior support: As freshman acclimate, seniors answer their questions
Toward the beginning of the school year, freshmen are flooded with an overwhelming amount of new things. They only ask for one thing: answers. Some freshmen are unsure of whom to turn to with these questions. Luckily, that is where OH seniors can step in. Two in particular supported the responses to frequent-freshman questions: OH seniors Olivia Krupinski and Jwirya Abouhiba. Specifically, OH freshman Autumn Moe wondered a common question posed by her fellow new Panthers: what is the high school workload is like? Krupinski, who has earned a 4.0 GPA, said that the workload is dependent on how you handle it, and “if you do not do your homework, [[or]] if you hold it off for so long, you're gonna have a bigger workload.”
