Birds of a feather: Badminton team wraps up singles, doubles season of growth

This past week, the OH girls badminton team wrapped up their season. Throughout the season, the girls brought their best efforts, celebrating their wins and using their losses to learn. The season started in March and ended last week, and whether they were at practice, at an away game, or playing their final conference match, the girls applied the techniques they learned throughout the season. "The more the girls compete and develop their badminton skills, the more successful they will be," said team Coach Scott Freischlag.

Coachella is back and bigger than ever. With new headliners, creative outfits, buzzing socials, and stunning performances, Coachella has once again caught the world's attention. This April, the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was held from April 10–12 and 17–19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. “Coachella 2026 returned to the desert with a lineup and energy that reinforced its status as one of the most influential music festivals in the world,” said an article from Trop News.

As summer approaches, it's time to get your summer playlist ready. In this 42Fifty Music Review podcast, listen in for the songs on OH students' summer playlists. Podcast hosts Jia Nair and Stephanie Mayorga have interviewed several OH students who each told them their favorite song to listen to during the summer and three people said their favorite song was "The Spins" by Mac Miller. Specifically, OH sophomore Emma Byron said, “My favorite summer song is 'The Spins 'by Mac Miller because it just has the perfect summer vibe and it's an upbeat song.”
