OH boys and girls lacrosse have both been improving tremendously throughout the spring season. With a mix of players that have previous lacrosse experience and some new faces, everyone is working hard to find the strategies for both teams’ success.
OE senior Addison Parks said, “This season has been going really well, especially for this being the first year we’ve had a lacrosse team.”
Even with new players, the girls lacrosse team is doing well, holding a record of 5-3. The boys team is having a good season, too. “The team has been doing very well; we are currently 7-1,” senior Nash Zegar said.
As the team heads into their next games, they are optimistic about maintaining their strengths and momentum. The ability to get along as a team on and off the field is an important contribution when it comes to success in games.
OH senior Mikaela Busse said, “They feel like my family on and off the field and the trust between us all definitely shows on the field.”
With the guidance of their experienced teammates, the new people are learning and quickly adapting to the game.
“Being a brand new team always comes with challenges,” said Parks.
Zegar also added, “Fundamentals were a challenge since we are a mix of experienced and new players.”
With commitment and hard work, the team has come together on the field to showcase their skills.

“We have improved so much as a team, especially with our understanding of what we need to do on offense and defense,” said Parks.
The teams have improved a lot since the beginning of the season. From some of them not knowing the basics to the team working together to help eachother be successful.
“A lot of our skills have taken a huge jump since the beginning of the season,” said Zegar.
As the end of the season comes and with seniors on the team, they want to leave an influential role on the team.
“A specific goal I have is just making sure that I leave behind a leader reputation of being one of the first ever [OH] Lacrosse team captains,” said Busse, “I am very proud of each and every one of them and they all make an impact in our wins.”
