OH gets an exciting new addition to their extensive roster of games that the esports teams play in fall ’25: competitive Peggle.

A recent resurgence of popularity in the e-sports world dedicated to the intense accuracy game has led to Coach Gamerson adding Peggle to the new season of competitive esports.

“It’s time to get to the Peggle grind, we cannot be left behind,” said Gamerson.

Peggle is a relatively unknown game, which begs the question: what exactly is Peggle?

According to Wikipedia, Peggle is a casual puzzle video game developed by PopCap Games, initially released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X systems in 2007.

Inspired by pachinko, Peggle involves taking a limited number of balls and shooting them at the pegs, the goal in the main campaign is to clear all the pegs, and the goal of competitive play is to score as many points as possible, you can gain points by hitting pegs, especially the orange pegs, and using power-ups to hit more pegs.

There are three types of pegs, blue, orange, and green. Blue pegs are the standard and are not required to clear the level, they also give the least amount of points.

The orange pegs have more points and must all be cleared to beat the level. The green pegs give you power-ups and spice up the game a lot.

“The green ones are my favorite. I like green,” said esports team member Jim Johnson.

The new esports sections will have a unique name and exclusive jerseys. The team name will be the “Peggle Panthers.”

“I get the team name can be misconstrued, but I believe it best describes us, we play Peggle, we peg,” said Coach Gamerson.

The esports players are very excited about the addition of the new game.

“I am very excited about the addition of the new game,” said esports player Quinton Villanueva.

“The lights and the sounds are very stimulating, it’s so so fun!” said esports player Jim Johnson.

It’s clear the esports team is ambitious to try out competitive Peggle, and the new esports players are going to give it their all.

“I’m excited about the future of the Peggle Panthers, play on!” said Coach Gamerson.
