As the fantasy football season is getting intense, people are gearing up to make moves around their rosters. This year has been filled with unpredictable moments and shocking player decisions. Many people were surprised by injuries from many players which caused a lot of people to make some big changes regarding their team.

“There’s a lot of surprises in football… you never know what’s gonna happen. There’s been a lot of injuries,” said Oswego resident Triston Robb, a local fantasy football player.

“My football roster has been kinda crazy with the moves these coaches are doing,” said OH senior Charlie Kearns.

This season has been filled with many shocking injuries such as Christian McCaffrey’s PCL injury turning many teams around, as well as Trevor Lawrence’s health after taking a big hit.

“There’s been a lot of different injuries, especially with the wide receivers, Rashi Rice, Chris Godwin, bunch of dudes,” said Robb.

Furthermore, the season is filled with many surprises, especially with wide receivers. For example, Tyreek Hill and Ja’Marr Chase are creating some big points for teams and allowing some mid-season trades for struggling teams.

“There are always, ups and downs. There are definitely big letdowns, and there can always be, people coming back from something like, just out of the blue. and it made it kinda difficult for teams,” said OH senior Joe Delolmo.

However, there have been some good picks for some players, which can be good for fantasy players wanting to upgrade their roster by looking out for these high-performing athletes.

“I’ve had some pretty good picks, Trey McBride, he’s been pretty good this year. Devon a Chan Drake, London, Garrett Wilson, Jamar, Chase, I’d say those were the main ones,” said Robb.

For people with underperforming teams, there are definitely things to do to help turn their season around. The focus is finding good players and making some trades, including risky ones as people are going to need some points for their team.

“If there’s anything they can do this late in the season, I would try and strike as many deals as possible with people in your fantasy team, see if you can get anything to try and recover where you’re standing all right time,” said Delolmo.

However, it is important to remember the picks that will be up for trade that have been holding a team back. A team can definitely get a really good deal from avoiding these rough draft picks.

As the season winds down the thrill and unpredictability of football remain intact. With complex strategies and a bit of luck some people can still find their way to victory and those with good teams continue their way to the top.
