OH excitement falls flat for FNAF movie
Since the early 2010s, the Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) games, created by Scott Cawthon, have stood out as a popular indie horror series known for their theories, lore, and abundant jump scares from possessed animatronics. So people got excited when Warner Bros. Studios announced they would release a movie based on the series on Oct. 27, 2023.
Oswego High School goes digital with PSAT/SAT
On Oct. 17 and 18, juniors and underclassmen students at Oswego High School took the digital version of the PSAT after a digital readiness check on Oct. 3. Considering OH has never done the PSAT/SAT digitally before, the OH testing administrators used readiness checks to help students transition into digital standardized testing.
Going Above and Beyond: The Coalition’s ASCEND Conference
On Oct. 20, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., all students in Oswego High School and Oswego East High School will have the chance to attend their Coalition’s Activating Student Compassion through Essential, Notable Discoveries (ASCEND) Conference at Waubonsee Community College. This conference will be the first of its kind to demonstrate the district’s goals of “diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging” for students, said in the official announcement. Waubonsee Community College and the Oswego School District will be hosting the event together.
Your Ticket to 2023 HoCo: All the Details You Need
Oswego High School will once again host its annual Homecoming dance on Sept. 30. All students must check in no later than 8:00 p.m. with the new theme “Las Vegas.” This year’s Homecoming dance will be at Oswego High School’s auxiliary gym. The field house will also be open to students for coat check, games, the photo booth, and tables to sit down and relax at.
