On Feb. 20, Megan Moroney dropped her third studio album called “Cloud 9.” This album features popular artists, too, like Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves.

OH junior Payton Forbes said, “My immediate reaction to her new album was wow, just wow.”

This album features 15 songs, with three dropping before the release date. Six months later, “Beautiful Things” and “Wish I Didn’t” dropped.

Moroney has given her fans easter eggs in the lead-up to her album release. On MeganMoroney.com, teasers on Nov. 9, 2025, led to her announcing “Cloud 9” on Nov. 11, 2025.

On Feb. 20, Megan announced $9 shows with an all-exclusive meet and greet for many fans. Megan also spent hours on end signing many vinyls and CD’s for her fans as well.

Lucky, being her first studio album, contained pure country songs, with a mix of sad and upbeat songs.

Her sophomore album, “Am I Okay?” contained Moroney’s first world tour with sold-out shows everywhere, including close-by shows at The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, WI, and the Iowa Fairgrounds in Des Moines, IA. This album now contains more pop/country songs that brought tears to many fans’ eyes.

Then, with the release of her third studio album, “Cloud 9,” there was a lot of excitement from her fans. This album contains more pop than country, but is still considered a country genre. Many of Moroney’s songs are about her relationships throughout her life.

OH junior Olivia (Livy) Lamb said, “I think this one is a little more pop [rather than country], but I still think it’s just as good as her other albums.”

Many fans believe Moroney’s second studio album, “Am I Okay?” It was much better than her new Cloud 9 album. “Am I Okay?” Had more of a variety with songs about friends, lost, and boys, rather than just relationships in “Cloud 9.”

OH senior Breanna (Bree) Thomas said, “My immediate reaction after the first full listen, I thought it was okay, I expected more, especially because she came off such a strong album.”

Many fans wish Moroney’s album contained more country-like songs instead of the pop side.

“I feel like it’s the same. I like her past albums more,” said Forbes.

Many fans are excited for the upcoming summer of 2026, when Moroney’s headline show will be in many big cities with many popular openers. From the United States to Denmark, Moroney will be on tour from May 29 to Oct 1.
