The great traditions of Senior Night and homecoming were combined at Friday’s Homecoming football game, where the Panthers shut out Joliet Central 49-0.
Proposal 23 was voted into fruition in December 2018 by the schools that are apart of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and will go into effect in the 2021 football season.
The game had the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. Nobody rode that rollercoaster more than Oswego senior Jennah Rogers who scored 16 points and snagged 17 rebounds. She had an opportunity to win the game in regulation but was unable to convert, but eventually played hero and sent the game to double overtime with a putback buzzer beater.
Lani Breedlove is a name that no one at Oswego High School should be a stranger to today. Frequently making Athlete of the Week titles and her name presented on the school sign outside the main entrance, this senior has impacted the bowling community at OHS like no other.
