There’s nothing that screams “high school sports team” more than four teenage boys not being able to keep straight faces for more than a minute at a time. OHS senior infielder Camden Pick can’t help but burst out laughing every time I would asked him questions; the other boys, catcher Tyler Stack, infielder Cade Duffin, and infielder Will Pavlick all crowd around him, laughing and giggling. The past season was heavily affected by COVID-19, and as a result, the Oswego High School baseball team wasn’t able to complete a full season, major events like playoffs, and the possibility of state meant something different.
Oswego’s High School spring sport athletes are ready to get started! With the winter sports wrapping up, the community is so excited to see new sports and what they are capable of this season.

The Oswego Varsity Baseball team began their series against Oswego East on Tuesday May 9th. After 3 hard fought games, they ended up losing the series, 1-2. The team will be wrapping up their regular games this week, before heading into playoffs.
On Friday, April 5, the Panthers took on the soon-to-be Southwest Prairie Conference Yorkville Foxes and faced a tough 1-0 loss in the 11th inning. Despite this defeat, the team’s pitchers had wonderful outings.
