Last week’s New Music Friday included many iconic comebacks from artists like Ariana Grande, Wallows, and Post Malone that left fans with more to look forward to.
42Fifty previously had a column in which former Editor-in-Chief Dylan Jahnke covered new music that was released every Friday. As a new writer for 42Fifty, I’m hoping to bring it back. Last week’s New Music Friday was hyped up more than any other. Fans of all different genres of music found themselves enjoying new tracks from artists like ZAYN, The Neighbourhood, and Travis Scott.
After reviewing three different songs each week since my debut, I’ve decided to switch it up by reviewing a full album each week from now on. Kicking off the new edition of the series is the joint album “MIH-TY” by Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign.
Pop music has made an epic comeback after being out of the spotlight for the past few weeks. ZAYN, Zara Larsson and Jon Bellion all delivered some fresh, new tracks. Not only are they fresh, but they are all songs that are very relatable in terms of relationships and friendships.
Welcome once again to New Music Fridays (on Tuesday) with Dylan! ‘Twas definitely an interesting week of music - from an ultimate rap collaboration, to a ballad, to a Latin track, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
