Although this is an absolute brilliant album, there are several filler tracks that bring it down from being perfect. They hold amazing ideas within them, however, they go on for too long or leave me bored.
In “To the Bone,” The Kinks perfectly describe the excitement of buying vinyl records: “in the back of a record rack, there’s an old double pack. 12 inches and black with an old crumpled cover. But every record is stacked.” That same experience is exactly what I feel when walking into a little record shop on the corner of First and S. Water Street in Batavia, Illinois.
This week, deciding what songs to review was a challenge, because a wide variety of artists gifted their fans with some great new music. However, there were three new tracks that definitely stood out to me. I won’t keep you waiting, so let’s jump right to it.
Jingle Bash, Jingle Bash, Jingle all the…wait. Yup, it’s that time of the year once again. The 2018 B96 Pepsi Jingle Bash is back, and it’s only a few months away.
Xbox and PlayStation come to most people's minds when talking about video games, so it's easy to forget about the classics that got us to where we are today. Classic 25-cent arcade games are my personal favorite, and I hope some others feel the same way, too. Without any further ado, allow me to take you back to the ‘70s and ‘80s and show you some of the best games from the time!
