Air quality tests were done last week on specific rooms in the building. The school was issued these tests as a regular check to make sure the air in our school is safe to breathe. The tests are still being reviewed among the operations office for District 308, and will be addressed to determine if the school is safe. These tests were completed on Wednesday this week.
The air quality test is a standard test that is regularly done in District 308. “The company who completes the test will pick rooms that represent larger areas of the building. Additionally, if we want to add rooms, they will add them to the list of rooms they test,” says Assistant Principal Mr. William Nunamaker, who is also a part of the operations office for the district.
There should be nothing to worry about concerning this issue. But, when asked on what the school would do if they were to fail this test, Nunamaker said, “if there are any concerns that need to be addressed, they will take the necessary steps to make those corrections.” There was no other information given on what the school would do to fix the issue. All we can do is put our trust in the school to make the right decisions to keep us safe.
