42Fifty would like to congratulate Mr. Timothy Taviani on being awarded this month’s Staff Spotlight! Mr. Taviani has been teaching for a little over a decade here at Oswego High School.
“This is year 14 for me at Oswego High School. I’ve been in the business department for 13 out of the 14 here. I started in the math department my first year, then I came up to teach business after that.” Mr. Taviani stated.
This year, Mr. Taviani is teaching a wide range of business classes including, Banking and Finance, Accounting 1, Accounting 2, and Consumer Education.
“Banking and finance is a very unique situation. You get experience in the workplace and at the same time learn the skills you need in class like Consumer Ed. It’s very beneficial to the students.”
Mr. Taviani’s favorite part of teaching is making connections with his students and watching them blossom as they go into the real world.
“I think it’s great that I have an impact on these student’s lives…I enjoy the day to day conversations we have…watching them grow up and do good things as the head out of here is awesome.” Taviani stated.
